Where in New Zealand are you based?
I have recently moved from Wellington (where I lived and photographed for over 10 years!) to Southbridge, Mid Canterbury. I’m looking forward to photographing more weddings and families in this beautiful part of New Zealand where I grew up and got married myself.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! One of the highlights of my work is discovering new places and special locations to capture. I love to travel and get inspired by new places. As well as everywhere and anywhere in the Wellington region, I've been lucky enough to photograph weddings in Christchurch, Akaroa, Marlborough Sounds, Kaikoura and as far north as Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty.
What is the typical amount/ cost of your wedding coverage?
I offer a range of wedding packages that start at $3500 with different lengths of coverage and extra bells and whistles to suit a range of different budgets. All my packages can be customised to suit your inspirations and needs.
Will I be able to share my photos on social media?
Of course! Although I own the copyright to the images you will have a special licence that allows you to print and share your photos as much as you like!
How many photographs do you deliver from a wedding?
You can expect to receive between 400-900 images depending on the length of coverage during your special day.
Do your packages include high resolution files to print from?
Yes, my clients always received a USB stick of all their photos, edited, and in high resolution ready for printing.
How long does it take to edit wedding photos?
You can expect delivery of your handmade wooden keepsake box, made by my dad from recycled native wood, between 6-8 weeks after your wedding.
Can you recommend any other wedding vendors?
I sure can! I've worked with some very talented catering companies, hair & makeup stylists, celebrants, florists etc. Get in touch and I would love to pass on my recommendations. There are also links to vendors in my wedding story 'credits' on the homepage.
How many weddings do you photograph per year?
I typically shoot between 15-20 weddings per year. When I'm not shooting weddings I am capturing engagement portraits, newborns and family photos and teaching Art Photography to teenagers and adults.
Do you have an assistant or second shooter when you are photographing a wedding
I am always your main photographer capturing all the key special moments but will sometimes have an assistant to help me capture the moments in-between, making sure your wedding day is fully covered.
What camera equipment do you use?
I shoot with full frame professional Nikon cameras and prime lenses. I typically shoot with two cameras and my two favourite lenses. I also bring extra cameras and lenses with me to weddings... just in case!
