Hello! I'm Caroline a Wedding Photography based in Canterbury, New Zealand. I love to photograph people and I adore natural light. I am very passionate about capturing beautiful and natural memories for my clients. I really enjoy getting to know the couples and families I work with, this is one of the best parts of my job! I've also found this helps everyone to relax, and allows me to capture so many beautiful and natural moments.
A bit about me
I’m not very good at writing about myself...I’d much rather chat over a coffee! But here goes... I have been photographing love and connection for over 10 years now and cant imagine my life any other way. I have a degree in photographic design and a teaching diploma in visual arts, and enjoy collecting vintage treasures, particularly cameras! I love to cook, grow flowers, travel and explore new places. I love autumn, a big sky, crisp mornings, a cosy fire, late nights, an Aperol spritz, good coffee, and creating beautiful meaningful images for lovely people.
I love natural photographs that show honest expressions; a laugh, a smile, a tear or a touch. I work hard to make sure even the shyest person feels comfortable around my camera. I can meld into the background to capture candid moments, or engage with a guest to coax out a smile. Most of all, I take the time to understand your needs and inspirations for the special moments in your life you would like captured.
I've recently moved to the countryside in Mid Canterbury near where I grew up (after just over 10 years of being based in Wellington) with my husband Richard, and our two beautiful children Ivor and Alba.
