My favourite 18 wedding suppliers for 2018

There are SO many amazing wedding suppliers in the Wellington region! Here are just a few of my favourites from this season to help you get started with your wedding planning (or tick one of those last few things off on your list).

Venues

Sudbury in Kapiti - one of my favourite rustic country wedding venues with the beach so close too! Owner Janine is super experienced and so on to it, you can totally relax and know she has everything under control.

Poppies in Martinborough - such an elegant boutique venue, with delicious wine and food. Shayne is very organised and passionate, and nothing is a problem. Again you wont need to worry about a thing; you’ll be in great hands.

Looking for something a bit different? How about one of the gorgeous little halls dotted around Wellington? Lots of them have beautiful wooden interiors and loads of character. Perfect if you are keen to really make it your own or wanting a bit of a vintage New Zealand feel. I particularly love Makara and Worser Bay halls (but there are also some cool bowling clubs like the ones in Seatoun and Wilton that have a similar feel AND will keep your guests entertained!).

You could also think about choosing a location that is special and meaning to you. Some of my favourite wedding this season were at my couples family home or in a private location that they loved. Yep, a lot of work but really special.

Celebrant

Jhan is super lovely and a bit alternative: her ceremonies are always really special.

Trish is excellent as well; she goes out of her way to make sure her couples have a wonderful ceremony.

Florals

I love, love, love Style Me flowers. Dianne’s work is something else.

It was my first time working with Foxglove & Find this season. How gorgeous is Courtney’s bouquet?! So wild and natural.

And I can’t leave out one of my all time favourites, Flowers Manuela just off Cuba Street in Wellington.

Hair & Makeup

Natalee Fisher is amazing. l love her style and she is such a professional.

Lovely Mitelene Enslin and her team from Lipstick and Co will make you look and feel amazing, too.

Catering

The Catering Studio do SUCH delicious food and have really lovely staff.

Sunday Cantina. So yummy and I love that they use fresh, seasonal and local produce.

Wanting something a bit different? What about your favourite food truck? Or brewing your own beer for your big day?

Dresses

Helen Forster creates such stunning special and unique gowns.

The lovely ladies st Paperswan Bride will take good care of you. They have such a special collection of gowns for all budgets (I got my vintage wedding dress here!).

Music

Andy Christiansen from House of Sound. This very cool Jazz trio kept Hannah & Alan’s guests entertained during their cocktail hour.

I’ve been lucky enough to see Superbad Soul Section a few times now and they’re always amazing, so entertaining and great to dance to.

Looking for a really great cover band? The Relatives are awesome. I imagine they get booked up pretty quickly in peak wedding season though…

Happy wedding planning!
